What the tool does not do
The generator works only with what you type into the form. None of it is verified.
- It does not test your site. If you want to know the real state, run the free accessibility check first.
- It does not judge whether the status you picked is correct. You choose it, and you are responsible for it.
- It does not replace a legal review. The result is a draft to read through and complete before you publish it.
- It does not produce a full-conformance claim, because from unverified details that would be an assertion with nothing behind it.
Why there is no “fully conformant” option here
Full conformance is the one claim a filled-in form cannot support. Only an assessment that actually happened and is documented can support it. Offering a “fully conformant” checkbox here would manufacture a legal claim nobody checked, and we will not do that. If you believe your site is fully conformant, start with an assessment and draft the statement from its result.
Common questions
Who needs an accessibility statement?
Whether you must publish one depends on whether you are a public sector body or a service provider under the law transposing the European Accessibility Act. Confirm the exact scope of your obligation with your legal adviser.
Is the generated text legally binding?
The text is a draft. The organisation that publishes the statement is responsible for its content, so read it through and complete it before you publish.
Why can I not declare full conformance?
Because a filled-in form cannot support that claim. The tool would be manufacturing a legal assertion nobody checked. Declare full conformance only on the basis of an assessment that actually took place.
Do I have to give a contact email?
You do not have to, but a statement is meant to carry a working feedback channel. Leave it blank and we leave a visible gap in the text for you to fill in.
